It's ironic that as republicans denounce pork-barrel spending and gigantic governments very few would lift a finger to re-appropriate the 20+ billion spent annually on our renamed war on drugs.
The article highlights one key point that I think is necessary to elucidate the irony of. It states that the TCOs or transnational criminal orgs are dependent on a criminal and gang network in the united states to distribute their product. When you realize that most incarcerations in the USA are due to usage and distribution f drugs, the circular machinations of the narcotics engine, and its federal funding, are even more preposterous.
Our criminal invasive actions into self-determination and liberty are predicated on and only able to exist due to our criminal actions into liberty. Stop locking up drug users, on the public's dollar, who then get work distributing drugs, which the federal government feels obliged to spend 20+ billion a year fighting.
Argh.

Mystic Politics mission is to instigate debate on politics, religion, and science towards a more informed society. Our goals are increasing the authority of alternative media and citizen journalism- and to spotlight political corruption, government conspiracies, religion in politics, and the dichotomy of science and faith.
