Court Orders Seek Email, Twitter, & IP Data of WikiLeaks Volunteer Jacob Appelbaum

The 1986 Electronic Communications Privacy Act is outdated and lo longer protects us from governmental snoopery.

This article details for telecommunications companies and websites have to fight off the government with expensive court proceedings, often only to lose, all without the person being investigated even knowing.

The data includes geo-location via IP, basically meaning they know where you are (if you don't know how to obscure it).

Do you support more electronic anonymity, or do you feel it obscures the trustworthy governments ability to target terrorists? (giggle).
