Why is it in most cosmogonies the female protagonist is written out or recast as a spirit or ambient energy?
Not unlike the extirpation of a Asherah in the Jewish pantheon, it seems even in the centuries since Mormons founding the 'heavenly mother' has been ushered out of the public spotlight.
Is it something encoded in man to need to be the king of his mental mountain? What does this say about our relationships to our own biological mothers?
