Michelle Bachman is proposing a bill that would force doctors and patients to view a sonogram and listen to the nascent-human heartbeat before following through with abortion, reasoning that 78% of women opt out upon hearing Jr's heart pumping.
While I do advocate people not abort their kids, Is this the states job to enforce morality upon people? There is also an invasive "transvaginal ultrasound" required if the preganacy is only 4-5 weeks old.
What do you think? Is this a good bll that would result in people changing their minds towards children, or a a christian dominionist scheme in step one of #OpTheocracy?
