While the author here highlights the radical opinions being expressed here as proofs that the liberal elite in the country won't co-opt or hijack the movement, his article is predicated on the idea that there is a core of values that is stuck to will prevent the commandeering of the egregore for official purposes.
Thew fact is that the 'values' of OWS vary from one person to the next, and as such make it susceptible to anyone claiming to fight for the 99% validating this claim by seizing upon one of the loose sentiments of the mob and interpolating their extant policies with the progressive narrative.
It's time to get real and get some corporeal values down before people rob the brand collateral and social equity of the populist upswell....
