I think what is alarming here is the privatizing of roles historically held by the state, such as maintenance of troops and transfer of mercs, into the hands of contractors, creating what is tantamount to a DOD special forces.
While the actual number of contractors will diminish in the area, to say we are withdrawing isn't entirely truthful
