Walking dead horror romp goofs up the silver screen with religious flubs.
From oopart prayer veils to churches named 'southern baptist church' it does seem like they need a bit of the ol' Mystic Politics know-how in their camp.
On a more serious note it is interesting to explore the significance of Catholics and their Zombie Jesus, whom they feast on quad-monthly.
With the Romero-type realization that the zombie hordes are really portrayals of our feelings about the unwashed and profane masses, might it be more relevant that our archetypal savior is the walking dead, as well?
Praying to the Zombie Jesus: The Spirituality of Horror
Mystic Politics mission is to instigate debate on politics, religion, and science towards a more informed society. Our goals are increasing the authority of alternative media and citizen journalism- and to spotlight political corruption, government conspiracies, religion in politics, and the dichotomy of science and faith.
