Ralph Nader believes strict regulations promotes economic growth. Would you agree? He cites examples of energy efficient lightbulbs as being a product and industry facilitated through adaptation due to regulations.
But are they even made in america? Last week on the daily show Jon Stewart interviews a former Michigan governor who cites her experiences in talking with foreign diplomats as evidence the US needs to trim regulations and create programs to facilitate repatriation of transnational corporations.
Do we want the sort of repetitive labor jobs that go into making tennis shoes? Do we want trimmed down regulations which enable mega-corps to fill our rivers with toxic waste and kill our natural habitats?
On the other hand, are the jobs created by federal-paid organizations like the EPA and OSHA worth their weight or do they just equate to more bureaucratic waste?

Mystic Politics mission is to instigate debate on politics, religion, and science towards a more informed society. Our goals are increasing the authority of alternative media and citizen journalism- and to spotlight political corruption, government conspiracies, religion in politics, and the dichotomy of science and faith.
