Why do Evangelicals look towards kooks versus educated apologists for their ID propaganda? Because they have to think less and it doesn't disturb their parents Sunday school creationism.
Most religious people reconcile their abrahamic cosmogony/scientific cosmogenesis paradox by either dismissing science or claiming they are the same thing.
What is the future of religious and scientific overlap? If the bible, now widely understood to be metaphorical and not to be taken literally, can't be depended on for its own self-affirmed authority, as the creation cosmogony is now summarily dismissed in its literal reading, can we read the authority of YHVH or Jesus as literal?
