It is very interesting to explore the very real similarity between the scientific axioms of cause and effect with the principle of Karma, or activity, in the Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism)...
There does seem to be a price paid for our actions, or there is a push/pull or inner conflict which may counteract the temporary good done by a deed we weren't proud of.
