Whoops: Identity Thieves Target Political Ad Consultants On New FCC Site

<p>A database recently made public by the FCC that details the ad-buying habits of politicians and advocacy groups is being targeted by data-mining scammers who suck money out of political consultants' bank accounts by "...search[ing] the database for the time-buyers' checks to the stations," and "lifting account numbers, tracking numbers and authorized signers' names from the checks they found."</p><p>Read at NPR: <a href="http://mys.tc/2l6">http://mys.tc/2l6</a>.</p>
